Dissemination activities

The ISLANDS dissemination strategy aims to ensure a significant impact on society, technological innovation, and the advancement of research in sustainable communication networks. Dissemination activities focus on sharing the scientific and technological knowledge generated within the project with a wide audience and targeted stakeholders. These activities highlight how the project’s findings can be utilized to drive innovation and foster collaboration among academic, industrial, and policy-making communities.

The ISLANDS project targets a diverse audience, including researchers, industry professionals, doctoral candidates, SMEs, start-ups, and end-users. By actively engaging these groups, ISLANDS seeks to promote the adoption and integration of its outcomes into the broader technological and societal landscape.

Three primary dissemination actions have been identified for ISLANDS:

Publications and Presentations:
Dissemination through scientific publications in leading journals, participation in international conferences, workshops, and events. These efforts aim to share research findings with the academic and professional communities.

Outreach and Engagement:
Disseminating project outcomes via social media, newsletters, and dedicated project events to raise awareness and encourage adoption of ISLANDS innovations. Special emphasis is placed on involving SMEs and start-ups to accelerate innovation in sustainable communication technologies.

Policy and Regulatory Contributions:
Engaging with European policy-making and regulatory bodies to align ISLANDS outcomes with EU initiatives on sustainable technology development. This includes contributing to efforts in promoting eco-friendly innovations, digitalization, and resilience in communication systems aligned with Europe’s long-term goals.

Through these actions, ISLANDS aspires to create a lasting impact, bridging the gap between research and practical applications while fostering collaboration across diverse sectors.
